TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — The Clean Economy and Community Impact Summit was a half-day event centered around the state’s clean energy economy.

The summit took place on Friday, April 5 at the University of Arizona Tech Park located at 9030 S. Rita Road. on the Southeast side.

A new report, “Boosting Health for Children: Benefits of Zero-Emission Transportation and Electricity,” released today by the American Lung Association, highlights that a widespread transition to zero-emission vehicles and electricity would dramatically improve the health of children in Arizona. The transition would prevent 38,500 pediatric asthma attacks and 62,000 of other respiratory symptoms in Arizona by 2050.

Voters from Arizona and across the West say a public official’s position on conservation will be an important factor when deciding who to support in the upcoming election. Colorado College’s most recent Conservation in the West Poll shows 81% of voters in the Grand Canyon State support 30×30 conservation goals, which would translate to protecting 30% of lands and oceans by 2030.
